Serafin Tino Roman Jr. of Uvalde passed away at his residence on November 20, 2013 at the age of 84. He was born on January 5, 1929 in La Pryor, Texas to Serafin and Rosa Cruz Roman. He is survived by his wife Maria Tome Roman of 39 years of Uvalde daughters, Janie Moreno and husband Mario of San Antonio, Anita Fuentes, JoAnn Muse and husband Glen, and Erica Fuentes all of Houston sons, Jesse Roman and wife Becky of Kerrville, Johnny Fuentes and wife Sylvia of Uvalde, Johnny Roman of Texas and Claudio Roman of Florida sister, Santos Martinez of Uvalde brothers, Frank Roman of Uvalde and Emilio Roman of Kerrville, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents son, Tony Fuentez and brother, George Roman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Tino served in law enforcement as a police officer in Blanco and as a constable in Uvalde. A rosary will be held on Saturday and a vigil on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Anthony Fuentes, Johnny Fuentes, Johnny Lee Fuentes, Jordan Fuentes, Robert Serna, Austin Serna and Phillip Roman.
