Serapia Lopez

Serapia Lopez of Uvalde passed away on May 31, 2010 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. She was born on November 14, 1934 in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico to Domingo and Romana Martinez. She married Genaro Gomez Lopez in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico on May 1950. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Genaro Lopez of Uvalde, Texas one daughter Maria Ramirez of Uvalde, Texas three sisters Socorro Martinez San Juana Martinez both of Eagle Pass, Texas and Rachel Martinez of Seattle, Washington three brothers Genaro Martinez Jr. of Laredo, Texas Felipe Martinez and Norberto Martinez both of Eagle Pass, Texas five grandchildren Rogelio Ramirez Jr., Claudia Alexandria Ramirez, Loida Michelle Ramirez, Jaime Ramirez, and Iris Noemi Ramirez nine great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Friday June 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Ramirez Jr. Jaime Ramirez, July Eartok, Norberto Martinez, Felipe Martinez, Johnny Gonzalez and Claudia Ramirez. Brother Manuel Trevino will be officiating.
