Severa Torres

Severa Flores Torres of Pasadena, formerly of Batesville passed away at St. Lukes Patients Hospital in Pasadena at the age of 88. She was born on August 13, 1927 in Batesville, Texas to Elijio and Leonor (Gomez) Flores. She is survived by her daughters, Benita Garcia and husband Ralph, Alicia Boyce and husband Rex , Diana Torres Flores all of Houston and Gloria Torres of El Paso; sons, Felipe Torres and wife Esperanza of La Pryor, Rosendo Torres and wife Alma of Batesville, Raul Torres and Paul Torres both of Houston; 42 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Esteban Torres; sons, Jesse Torres, Adolfo Torres, Alfredo Torres and Pedro Torres; and daughter, Elvira Torres. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Batesville. Burial will follow at Batesville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Felipe Torres Jr., Ricardo Torres, Rosendo C. Torres, Mark Chan, Paul Fernandez and Pete Torres Jr.
