Severiana Leon

Severiana A. De Leon of Batesville passed away on July 12, 2014 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde surrounded by her family at the age of 93. She was born on October 2, 1920 in Batesville to Marcos and Julia Vasquez Aviles. She is survived by her daughters Carmen Morales and husband Frank , Gloria Rubio, Estella De Leon all of Uvalde, Janie Buantello and husband Elpidio Jr. of Austin and Irma Hernandez and husband Pedro Sr. of San Antonio, sons Pedro De Leon and wife Delia of Uvalde and Porfirio De Leon and wife Gloria of Devine, 21 grandchildren, 57great grandchildren, 23 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband Porfirio De Leon, daughter Minerva Sanchez, grandson Juan Morales, 2 sisters, 3 brothers. A rosary will be held on Monday, July 14th at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on July 15th at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Rubio, Ernesto Morales, Leon De Leon, Eugene Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez, Jr., Elpidio Sebastian Buantello and Noel Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny De Leon, Jerry De Leon and Gary De Leon of Wisconsin.
