Shirley Hughes

Shirley Irma Hughes of Uvalde passed away on December 12, 2020 at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 73.  She was born on October 4, 1947 in San Diego, California to Ira Loyd and Christina C. (Lasarenza) Robinson.

She married Donald Hughes in Uvalde on August 4, 1970.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years of Uvalde; daughters, Donna Dunlap and husband, Charles of Austin, Connie Hughes and fiancé, Richard Ward of Round Rock and Stephanie Hughes and significant other, Dwayne Harrington of Bordentown, New Jersey; son, Joel Hughes and wife, Claudia of Uvalde; grandchildren, Roy Preciado, Michael Preciado and Brianna Preciado.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
