Shirley Steigerwald

Shirley Anne Steigerwald of Uvalde passed away on September 12, 2015 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 81. She was born on September 23, 1933 in Luling, TX to Curtis Calvin Heard and Shirley Dunham Heard. She married Peter S. Steigerwald in Uvalde on 1955. She is survived by her husband of 60 years; son, Paul Steigerwald and wife, Shelley of Uvalde; and four grandchildren, Peter H. Steigerwald and wife, Sara of San Marcos; Phillip Steigerwald of College Station; Thomas Steigerwald of Rochester, NY; and Susanna Steigerwald of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jordan Steigerwald. According to the family, Shirley was a loving wife and devoted mother. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Camp Wood. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Uvalde at 2:00 PM on Saturday.
