Silverio Esquivel

Silverio Esquivel of La Pryor passed away on October 30, 2022 at his residence at the age of 85.

He was born on February 7, 1937 in Hondo, Texas to Hines (Garza) and Thomas Esquibel.

He married Jesusita Cervantez on May 29, 1959 in La Pryor, Texas.

He is survived by his daughter, Inez Castillo and husband, Manuel of Bruni; two sons, Silverio Esquivel Jr. and wife, Gloria of La Pryor and Juan Antonio Esquivel of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Francisca Flores of San Jose, California and Rosa Garza of Lubbock; one brother, Thomas Esquibel of La Pryor; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.   A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in La Pryor.

Pallbearers will be John Ray Gonzales, Armando Castillo, Rolando Castillo, Manuel Castillo, Juan Antonio Esquivel, Jr., Martin Esquivel, Arian Villarreal and Hector Esquivel.
