Solon Crider

Solon “Larry” Crider of Uvalde passed away on June 22, 2020 at his residence at the age of 77.  He was born on December 4, 1942 in Kerrville, Texas to Solon Crider and Margie Park.

He was a schoolteacher, farm chemical salesman and sold Moorman’s Feed, now ADM and a rancher.

He was loved by many and is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Hargrove Crider of Uvalde; nephews, Billy Joe Hargove of San Antonio, Hal Hargrove of Georgetown, Mac Hargrove of Dallas, Dink Hargrove of Cedar Park, Frank Hargrove of Del Rio, George Hargrove of Del Rio and Jim Bob Hargrove of Langtry; nieces, Melody Speer of Uvalde, Mary Lou Baker of Laredo, Totsie Hildreth of Del Rio and Linda Palmer of Austin; brother in laws, Neal Hargrove and wife, Nancy Kay of Kerrville and Joe E. Hargrove of Uvalde; best friend, Robert Hensarling; and long life friend and employee, Ralph Canales

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law, Darrell Hargrove and wife, Mary Jane and sister in law, Nadine S. Hargrove.

Per Larry’s request there will be no memorial service.  Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
