Sonia Rendon

Sonia Rendon of Uvalde passed away on October 1, 2010 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. She was born on June 9, 1953 in Uvalde, Texas to Francisco and Librada Aranda. She married Roberto Rendon Jr. on June 23, 1979 in Uvalde, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Roberto Rendon Jr. of Uvalde, Tx. two sons Robert Rendon and wife Jennifer of Corpus Christi, Tx. David Rendon of Kingsville, Tx. two sisters and brothersinlaw Diamantina and Mario Talavera of Hondo, Tx. Dora Elia and Juan Johnny Flores of Uvalde, Tx. brother and sisterinlaw Javier Herbie and Cristina Aranda of Bryan, Tx. grandchildren Madison Giada Rendon and Robert Wyatt Rendon both of Corpus Christi, Tx. numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Frank Aranda and Jaime Aranda. A Rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 at 3:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be husband Roberto Rendon Jr., sons Robert Rendon and David Rendon, brother Javier Herbie Aranda, brothersinlaw Juan Flores, Mario Talavera and Ruben Rendon, friends Lee Lugo, Roberto Padilla and Davis Moore. Honorary Pallbearers are Elda Elizondo Arnall, Dora Flores, Rebecca Riojas Cruz, Laura Santos Padilla, Grace Moreno Rodrigues, Maria Elena Munoz Martinez, Romelia Ramirez Elizondo, Laura Canales Rodriguez and Dora Gonzales Leos.
