Stella Velasquez

Stella Treviño Velasquez of Uvalde passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 in San Antonio at the age 63. Mrs. Velasquez was born on August 5, 1952 in Uvalde to Juan P. and Lidia (Flores) Treviño. She married Luis T. Velasquez on October 13, 1973 in Uvalde. Mrs. Velasquez is survived by five daughters, Christina Martinez and Juan, Irene Morin and husband Abel, Esmeralda Velasquez, Maria Victoria Velasquez and partner Ercilia Berlanga all of Uvalde and Maria Luisa Juarez and husband Adam of San Antonio; two sons, Donald Treviño and wife Mary and Luis Velasquez Jr. both of Uvalde; two sisters, Alma Jean Dorantes and husband Frank of Beaumont and Alicia Mena and husband Johnny Joe of Uvalde; seven brothers, Juan Torres Jr., Venancio Treviño and wife Elida, Rodolfo Treviño, Oscar Treviño and companion Linda Darr, Richard Treviño and wife Blanca, David Treviño and wife Rosa, Danny Treviño and companion Mary all of Uvalde; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Luis T. Velasquez, parents, two brothers Donicio Treviño and Ricardo Treviño; one great grandchild Aaron Caleb Chapa.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 7:00 pm and a prayer service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
