Stephen Nettles

Stephen Craig Nettles of Uvalde passed away on Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Cristus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on Sept. 29, 1943 to George W Nettles and Judith Piper Nettles in Uvalde, Texas.
He is survived by aunts, Mary Welch of Uvalde Frances Danford of Lewisville Carol Cobb of Ft. Worth and Edith Coulter and husband, Earl of Crosbyton. Cousins include David Swift and Jack Welch, both of Uvalde.
Craig attended schools in Uvalde, and the School for the Deaf at one time. He studied auto mechanics at Southwest Texas Junior College. For some time he was the Postal Carrier on Hwy. 55 to Rocksprings Texas and back.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday Sept. 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in Hillcrest Cemetery. Revs. Tony Gruben and M.E. ONeill will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Baptist Temple Church, 620 E. Main St., Uvalde, Texas or Gideons International, P.O. Box 392, Uvalde, Texas 78802.
