Steve Zapata

Steve Zapata of Uvalde passed away on December 3, 2011 in Uvalde at the age of 54. He was born on December 4, 1956 in Uvalde to Manuel and Teresa Ramirez Zapata. He married Rebecca Carrasco on January 27, 1978 in Uvalde, Texas. He survived by his wife of 33 years Rebecca Becky Zapata of Uvalde, Texas daughter Sarah Ann Zapata of Uvalde, Texas sons Shane Nicolas Zapata of Uvalde, Texas and Samuel Roman Zapata of Houston, Texas brother Roman Diaz of San Antonio, Texas grandson Jason Santos of Uvalde, Texas numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by son Stevie Zapata, parents Manuel and Teresa Zapata. A rosary will be held on Monday night at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church will burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hector Lara, Robert Vasquez, Arnulfo A.J. Morales, Joey Verdusco, Richard Robles and Arturo Gomez.
