Susanna Garcia

Susanna A. Garcia of Uvalde, Texas passed away on March 5, 2022, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 52.  She was born on August 29, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois to Max and Maria (Blanco) Alvarez, Sr..

She is survived by her parents of Uvalde, Texas; daughters, Jaimie Nicole Garcia and husband, Aaron Cano and Maria Garcia all of Uvalde, Texas; son, Martin Garcia Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Uvalde; sister, Martina Alvarez of Uvalde, Texas; brothers, Juan Manuel Alvarez and Max Alvarez, Jr. both of Uvalde, Texas; grandchildren, Martin Garcia, III, Daimon Garcia, Kylah Cano, Kyndrah Cano and Aaron Cano, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Alvarez.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022. at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Martin Garcia,Jr., Anthony Alvarez, Jr., Juan Carlos Alvarez, Jerry Leal, Lisa Leal, Norma Leal, Victoria Alvarez, Michelle Alvarez, O.B. Briseño, and Juan Manuel Alvarez, Jr.
