Susie Brown

Susie Lee Trees Brown, age 89, of Uvalde died on September 26, 2009 at 214 Martin St. She was born on June 6, 1920 in DeSoto, TX to Cable and Clara Parker Trees. She is survived by a son, George Brown and wife, Frances of Uvalde; two daughters, Betty Johnston of Kerrville and Nancy Koch and husband, Ty of Uvalde; brother, Roland Trees of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, George Ann Swann of New Braunfels; Loren Johnston of Houston; Sean Johnston of England; Debbie Elliott of Pampa; Roy Collins, Jr. of Uvalde; Cody Brown of Uvalde; and Jason Collins of Plano; and five great-grandchildren, Cody and Cristina Elliott; Brandi Swann; Gage Brown; and Brenna Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lon E. Brown; parents; two sisters, Ann Trees Coleman and Dessie Mae Trees Taylor; and two brothers, David Trees and Henry Trees. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Montell Cemetery. Rev. Tony Gruben will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Brown; Roy Collins, Jr.; Loren Johnston; George Ann Swann;Cody Brown and Jason Collins. Memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Temple Church, 620 E.
