Teresa Aguilera

Teresa Aguilera of Uvalde passed away on March 26, 2013 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 93. She was born on February 17, 1920 in Uvalde to Juan and Casimira Alejos Alvarez. She is survived by her daughters, Anabelia AlHakam and husband Mohamed of Pasadena, Teresa Salas and husband Henry of Greeley, Colorado, Rosalva Gutierrez of Uvalde, Carmen Garner and husband Stewart of San Antonio and Elsa ArizmendiRodriguez and husband Antonio of Uvalde grandchildren, Juan Enrique Arizmendi, Joe Mark Arizmendi, Kimberly Garner, Brian Garner, Sonia Salas, Jay Salas, Sofia Muniz, Soraya Salas, Melva Trevino, Deynira Flores, Anabelia Flores, Elma Elizondo, Monica Aguilera, Rachel Silva, Ernesto Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, Jose Luis Gutierrez, Rafael Gutierrez, Tina Gutierrez and Robert Gutierrez 41 great grandchildren 10 greatgreat grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Aguilera parents, 7 sisters and 3 brothers. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernesto Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, Jose Luis Gutierrez, Robert Gutierrez, Jay Salas, Joe Mark Arizmendi, Mark Christian Arizmendi and Rafael Gutierrez.
