Terry Lee Lemke of Uvalde passed away on October 7, 2020 at the age of 51. Terry was born an only child on August 25, 1969 in Uvalde to Ray Lee and Sue Ann Lemke. He is survived by his two sons, who were the light of his life, Gage Lee and Mason Ray Lemke. He was preceded in death by his parents. Terry was a member of the 1987 Uvalde High School graduating class and then went on to receive an Associate degree from Southwest Texas Junior College in 1989. After college, Terry’s enjoyment in the game of golf led him to Phoenix Arizona where he attended The Ping Golf Academy, which trained him in every aspect of golf course management. Using that knowledge, he ventured back to Texas and became the head greenskeeper at The Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club; then went on to become superintendent at The Club at Sonterra in San Antonio where he later retired. Recently, Terry has been spending as much time as possible helping to raise his two boys. Their favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, and spending quality time together at the river with extended family and friends. Terry was the life of the party, always surrounding himself with friends everywhere he went. He was well-known by all his friends for his notorious and hilarious version of the Curly Shuffle from his favorite TV show the Three Stooges. He could also be counted on to break out with one of his crazy and unbelievable stories about the good old days, unfortunately, most of them were true.
A memorial service will be held at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM. A celebration of Terry’s life will be held shortly after, at a local residence.
