Thelma Garey

Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Collin Garey passed away on Friday November 16, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 88.

Mrs. Garey was born near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on January 14, 1919 to Arthur James and Clara Elizabeth Collin.

In 1952 Mrs. Garey moved to Corpus Christi where she had family living.

She married Alfred Henry Garey in Corpus Christi on August 20, 1960.

Mrs. Garey has lived in the Uvalde area for close to fifty years. Thelma loved living in Uvalde. She retired from Wal-Mart store after working for fifteen years.

Mrs. Garey is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ann Ron Brownlee of San Antonio, TX. grandchildren Brett, Breanne and Blane Brownlee all of San Antonio, TX.; numerous relatives in Uvalde, Corpus Christi, and Canada.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Alfred Henry Garey, son Brian Collin Garey, and sister and brother-in-law Irene Howard Charles.

Graveside services for Mrs. Thelma Garey will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Tony Gruben will officiate.
