Thomas Lee "Bo" Farr, 65, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Bo was born in Uvalde on May 3, 1956 to parents Jim and Margaret Farr. He attended grade school in the first class of St. Philip's Episcopal School before graduating from Uvalde High School in 1974. He then went on to Texas A&M University where he received a dual-major in Agronomy and Chemistry, graduating in 1978. He was a rancher and real-estate developer in Texas and New Mexico for many years and resided in Uvalde for most of his life. He was a pioneer in bringing Japanese Akaushi cattle genetics to the American beef market. He was a member of the American Akaushi Association and President of the Uvalde County Underground Water Conservation District from 2004 to 2007. He loved to golf, and played in the Uvalde 4th of July Tournament many times. He also loved to fly and was head tow-pilot for the 1991 World Gliding Championship held here in Uvalde. He was a good father, brother, and friend. Bo is survived by his children Thomas Lee Farr II , Matthew Alexander Farr, Elizabeth Ashlynn Farr, and Bodie Wyatt Farr; by his sisters Phyllis Farr Alexander and Kathleen Farr; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at St. Philip's Episcopal Church on the 9th of October, 2021 at 10 A.M.
