Trinidad Luna

Trinidad Luna of Elgin, Illinois, formerly of Batesville, passed away on December 24, 2018 in Barrington, Illinois at the age of 84. She was born on September 1, 1934 in Cotulla, TX to Geronimo and Teofila (Charro) Garza.
She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Barbosa and husband, David of Aurora, Illinois, Rosaura Gavin and husband, Terry and Anna Maria Franco and husband, Rafael of all of Elgin, Illinois; sons, Ismael Luna of McHenry, Illinois and Raul Luna and wife, Stephanie of Popular Grove, Illinois; sister, Julia Vela of Batesville; brother, Armando Garza and wife, Ester of Batesville; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melecio Luna; brothers, Mario Garza, Antonio Garza; sisters, Lucia Garza, Modesta Chavera and Tomasa Hernandez.
Visitation will begin on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., a rosary will be held on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Raul Luna, Jose Rubio, Michael Anthony Pedroza, Elijah Barbosa, Marisa Pedroza, Mariah Fonseca, Annabelle Rubio and Aliana Rubio.
Honorary pallbearer will be Ismael Luna.
