Ubaldo Torres

Ubaldo Ramirez Torres of Uvalde passed away on December 6, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born on July 10, 1925 in Zaragosa, Mexico to Manuel Fuentes and Ninfa Torres. He married Ernestina Talamantez in Mexico on December 27, 1947. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Ernestina T, Torres of Uvalde, Texas; six daughters; Gloria Torres of Eagle Pass, Texas; Martha T. Saucedo, Ninfa Benavidez, Alma Ruiz, and Eloina Garza all of Uvalde, Texas; Leticia T. Martinez of Carrizo Springs, Texas; one son; Ubaldo Torres Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; one sister; Concepcion Guerra of Musquiz; two brothers; Domingo Torres of Sonora, Texas; and Homero Torres of Del Rio, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Carlos Manuel Torres; two sisters; Carolina Ozuna and Adela Torres. A rosary will be held on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luis Adolfo Saucedo, Arnoldo Saucedo, Manuel Garcia, Carlos Dominguez, Alberto Garza Jr., Rogelio Alvarado Jr., Gabriel Ruiz Jr., and Manuel Ruiz. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Benavidez, Adolfo Saucedo, Alberto Garza, Ruben Rodriguez, and Roy Martinez.
