Valentin Salazar

Valentin V. Salazar of Uvalde passed away on October 18, 2012 at 80 years of age. He was born on February 14, 1932 in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico to Mariano Salazar and Manuela Villegas Salazar. He is survived by his daughters, Maria Patino, Laurentina Guedea, Lucia Guedea, all of Uvalde, Genoveva Moreno and Lydia Garcia of Austin and one son, Valentin Salazar, Jr. of Austin Sisters, Juanita Sanchez of Monclova, Mexico and Julia Flores of Uvalde 27 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurentina Y. Salazar, son, Ernesto Salazar and one brother. A rosary was held on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm at Rushing Estes Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
