Valeriano Navarro of Uvalde passed away on November 6, 2018 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. He was born on March 19, 1932 in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Amador and Angelita (Perez) Navarro.
He married Maria De Jesus Castillo Navarro on September 30, 1954 in Palau, Coahuila, Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, of 64 years of Uvalde; daughters, Pura Elizalde and husband, Jose Luis and Elva Sorola and husband, Gustavo all of Uvalde; sons, Amador Navarro of Odessa and Fernando C. Navarro and wife, Norma of Dallas; brothers, Jose A. Navarro of San Antonio and Mario P. Navarro of Uvalde; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Lilia N. Musquiz, Beatriz N. Reyes and Trinidad N. Reyes; brothers, Amador P. Navarro and Gonzalo P. Navarro.
A rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Marines, III, Al Ramirez, III, Jose Luis Elizalde, Jr., Valeriano Elizalde, Amador Navarro, Fernando Navarro, Jr. and Fernando C. Navarro, Sr.
