Vicenta Alamillo

Vicenta "Chenta" Avalos Alamillo of Uvalde passed away on September 17, 2017 at her residence at the age of 77. She was born on April 6, 1940 in Uvalde to Tomas Mata and Santos Chavez (Torres) Avalos.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Alamillo McAdams and husband Ray of Uvalde; son, Ricardo A. Alamillo and wife, Kathleen of Boerne; sisters, Mary Avalos and Carmen Alvarado and husband, Reynaldo all of Uvalde; brother, Jose T. Avalos and wife, Carmen of Schertz; grandchildren, Jennieka Raechele Rodriguez and fiancé, Drew Barthelemy, Rodolfo A. Rodriguez, Elizabeth Ann Alamillo, Mario Javier (MJ) Miller, Alexis Mariana Alamillo and Ricardo Alfredo Almaras; great grandchildren, Jose Luis Hurtado, III, Brezlyn Shae Barthelemy and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vasalisa (Nena) Cruz; brothers, Tomas Avalos, Jr., Fidel Avalos and Alfredo T. Avalos.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
