Victoria Torres

Victoria Perez Torres of Uvalde passed away on January 21, 2020 in Uvalde at the age of 83.  She was born on April 16, 1936 in Eagle Pass to Joaquin and Florentina (Martinez) Perez.

She married Cecilio Torres in Uvalde on March 19, 1977.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years of Uvalde; daughters, Letty Robles and husband, Mario, Jr. of Uvalde and Rachel Hernandez and husband, Roland of Castroville; sons, Robert Castellon and wife, Sandra of Universal City and George Castellon and wife, Alicia of LaGrange; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer Garcia, Lisa Anderson, Sandy Kusy, Cindy Wied, Victoria Trevino, Amanda Trevino, Adriana Robles, Marcela Robles, and Jose Cardenas; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maria P. Garcia, Julia P. Moreno, Martina P. Hernandez; and brothers, Ramon Perez and Joaquin Perez, Jr.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jose Cardenas, Paul Hernandez, Jimmy Hernandez, Roy Perez, Joaquin Perez III and Cruz Moreno, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Garcia, MarkE Martinez, Matthew Martinez, Nathan Anderson, Rilee Kusy, Enzo Trevino, Josh Velasquez, Jr., Alejandro Trevino, Marky Contreras, Jared Cardenas, Tommy Gilliam, Rausten Herd and Jace Samarripa.
