Vila Porterfield

Vila Rae Porterfield of Uvalde passed away on May 22, 2012 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 89. She was born on May 26, 1922 in Rotan, Texas to William and Linnie Horton Sargent. She was a member of the Getty St. Church of Christ for over 30 years. She is survived by her sister, Frances Thompson and husband Claude of Uvalde, nephew Greg Thompson and wife Linda of Pflugerville, 1 great niece and 2 great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack Porterfield and daughter, Vickie Smith. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
