Virginia Garcia

Virginia Garcia of Uvalde passed away on August 21, 2009 in University Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 61. She was born on January 31, 1948 in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico to Matias and Elena Flores. She married Fernando Garcia on December 10, 1962 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Fernando Garcia of Uvalde, Texas; two daughters; Norma De Los Santos and husband, Juan of Uvalde, Texas; and Rosalva Garcia and husband, Hector Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; one sister; Rosa Almager of Del Rio, Texas; four brothers; Juan Flores and Guadalupe Flores both of Arizona; Armando Flores of Crane, Texas; and Jose Lucio Martinez of Del Rio, Texas; six grandchildren; Angelica, Johnny, Gisselle, and Fernando De Los Santos; and Alec and Penelope Hernandez; two great grandchildren; Jazzlynn De Los Santos and Arianna Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Oscar Martinez, Carlos Martinez and Bernave Martinez. A rosary was held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan De Los Santos, Hector Hernandez, Joe Arizmendi, Ramiro Salazar, Ivan Zavala, Ronald Rodriguez, Armando Flores Jr., and Ricardo Flores.
