Virginia Leija

Virginia Leija of Sabinal passed away on January 8, 2019 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 67. She was born on May 11, 1951 in San Isidro, Coahuila to Felix and Luciana (Vasquez) Zavala.
Virginia married Agapito Leija in San Isidro, Coahuila on April 10, 1968.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Laura Estrada and husband, Jose of San Antonio, Marisol Davis of San Antonio, Maria Lozada and husband, Julio of Sabinal; sons, Tiburcio Leija of Sabinal, Agapito Leija Jr. and wife, Gloria of Donna, Texas; sisters, Francisca Gonzales of Uvalde, Consuelo Cortez of Piedras Negras, Coahuila; brother, Seferino Zavala of Eagle Pass; 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Siria Ruiz, Martha Zavala, Josefina Cortez, Maria Zavala; brothers, Fidel Zavala, Martin Zavala, Santos Zavala and daughter in law Laura Felicita Leija.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing- Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Rushing- Estes- Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. Interment will follow at Sabinal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Agapito Leija, Jr., Tiburcio Leija, T.J. Leija, Antonio Leija, Joe Estrada, Jr., Aaron Davis, and Jesus Manuel Davis
