Virginia Ybarra of Uvalde passed away on February 18, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 78. She was born on December 6, 1939 in Mexico to Fructuoso Barboza and Matilde Lopez. She is survived by her husband, Alberto Ybarra of Uvalde; daughters, Maria Asusana Mireles and husband, Jesus of Uvalde, Irma Cepeda Ybarra and husband, Manuel of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico and Imelda Ybarra of Uvalde; sons, Jose Maurico Ybarra and wife, Irma and Juan Luis Ybarra and wife, Rosa Maria all of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; sisters, Rosa Elva Barboza of Monclova, Mexico, Ofilia Barboza of Cuatro Cienegas, Mexico, Vicenta Barboza and Fidencia Barboza both of Monclova, Mexico; brothers Julian Barboza and Arturo Barboza both of Monclova, Mexico; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elena Barboza and Ofelia Barboza; and brothers, Francisco Barboza and Antonio Barboza. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
