Virtudes V. Sanchez of Uvalde passed away on August 9, 2014 at her residence at the age of 91. She was born on October 25, 1922 in El Remolino, Coahuila, Mexico to Leonardo Vasquez and Irene Borrego. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Sanchez, Dolores Murga both of Uvalde and Virtudes S. Canizales of San Antonio sister, Martha V. Hernandez of Groves brother, Raul B. Vasquez of Odessa 5 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaias Sanchez daughters, Ana Maria Blas and Maria Enedina Sanchez. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Panteon Santo Cristo in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Pallbearers will be Arturo Canizales Jr., Antonio Rivera, Jose Cruz, Salvador Gonzales, Armando Murga and Rafael Gutierrez.
