Walter Moerbe, Jr.

Walter O. Moerbe, Jr. of La Pryor passed away on December 1, 2017 at his residence at the age of 87. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Bishop, TX to Walter O. Moerbe, Sr. and Lydia Michalk Moerbe. He married Gladys Theiss in Bishop on August 7, 1949. She preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by three sons, Walter Moerbe III and wife, Louise, and Merle Moerbe and wife, Janet, all of La Pryor; and Randy Moerbe and wife, Jan of Ganado; sisters, Dorothy Theiss of Boerne and Pauline Williams of Kingsland; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandra Moerbe of Brady ; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Stanley Moerbe; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Mark Tews will officiate. Pallbearers will be Zachary Moerbe, Walter Moerbe IV, Leon Moerbe, Justin Moerbe, Dale Allen, Cody Chrismon, Larry Dockal II, and Jeremy Atkinson. Honorary pallbearer will be Rick Negele.
