Walter Trees

Walter O. Trees of Uvalde passed away at his residence in Uvalde at the age of 94. He was born on June 12, 1920 in La Pryor, TX to Ollie and Minnie Lee Salmon Trees. He married Frances Louise Dyess in Puerto Rico in 1970. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, daughters Barbara McCabe of Kerrville, Texas and Beverly Thompson and husband Doug of Ohio, grandchildren Michael McCabe and wife Candace of Arkansas, Robbie Bigham of Kerrville, Walter Dale Atchison of Ft. Worth, Ila Laverne Garcia and family of Corpus Christi, great grandchildren Laurel McCabe, Collin McCabe of Arkansas, Marcus Lawton of Bethleham, Shay Lawton of Kerrville nephews, Chester Trees and Louis Trees. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, LaVerne Trees two brothers, Joe Trees and Ray Trees. A funeral service will be held on August 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael McCabe, Collin McCabe, Dale Atchison, Chester Trees, Charlie Carter and Doug Thompson.
