Wanda Rankin

Wanda Lee Rankin of Uvalde went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 4, 2016 in Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 76. She was born on August 12, 1939 in San Antonio to Elmer Lee Smith and Juanita Sirena (Jones) Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Nita Hutchison and husband, Sam of Uvalde; Cyndi Alderson and husband, James of Canyon Lake; and Brenda Barnett and husband, Billy of Mertzon, TX; son, Steve Rankin and wife, Elisa of Uvalde; brother, Billy Joe Honea of San Antonio; six grandchildren, Sammy Hutchison, Jeff Hutchison, Clay Rankin, Guy Dean Barnett, Garrett Barnett, and Lindsey Hicks; and two great-grandchildren, McKenzie Torrez and Tristan Torrez. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David "Bunky" Rankin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Uvalde. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
