Wayne Ray Shults of Uvalde passed away on December 24, 2008 at his residence at the age of 70. He was born on October 15, 1938 in Gonzales, Texas to Eugene and Louise Shults. He married Kelley Vernor in CampWood, Texas on February 13, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Kelley Shults of Uvalde, Texas; two daughters; Sandra Kinnebrew and husband, Scott of Austin, Texas; and Melissa Ducker and husband, David of Cypress, Texas; one stepson; Dustin Vernor and wife Bethany of Uvalde, Texas; sister-in-law; Kynsie Vernor of Uvalde, Texas; two sisters; Berta Little and husband, Jimmy; and Diane McMaken and husband, Richard all of Rockport, Texas; three brother-in-laws; Buster Vernor and wife Tina of Aransas Pass, Texas; Eddie Vernor and wife, Kay of Uvalde, Texas; Bryan Vernor and wife, Sandy of Perryton, Texas; five grandchildren; Ian Shults, Anastasia Kinnebrew, Dylan Ducker, and Braxton and Katy Vernor; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and extended family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Rev. Carroll Vernor will officiate. Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, Inc.
