W.E. Prince, Sr.

W.E. Bill Prince, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on March 4, 2011 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 92. He was born on September 29, 1918 in Utopia, TX to Richard and Laura Poerner Prince. He married Mary Alice Smith in Uvalde on August 6, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 72 years son, William Earl Bill Prince, Jr. and wife, Peggy of Uvalde grandchildren, Jeffrey Lance Prince and wife, Julie of Thousand Oaks, CA and Suzanne Nowak and husband, Jason of Parker, CO greatgrandchildren, Logan and Nathan Prince and Matthew and Michael Nowak and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Barksdale Cemetery. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Uvalde Hospice, 124 Royal Lane, Uvalde, TX 78801 or the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Dept., 123 S. Getty St., Uvalde, TX 78801.
