Weston Ray Alspaugh passed away on November 1, 2017 in San Antonio at Northeast Baptist Hospital at the age of 26. He was born August 7, 1991 in San Antonio Texas to Beverly Faust Broom and Wesley Alspaugh. He lived in Uvalde, Texas until the age of 10 when he moved with his family to San Antonio. He attended MacArthur High School in San Antonio and Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde where he obtained his welding certification and became a welder. He married Anastasia Merrill in 2015. Weston had a loving and kind nature, a smile that always made you feel like he was happy to know you, and a musical talent that brought everyone together. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lily Merrill; mother and step-father, Mike Broom of La Vernia, Texas; father and step-mother, Kim Alspaugh of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Amaris White and husband David of Smithville, Texas; sisters, Whitney and Caelin Alspaugh of San Antonio and Michaela Broom of La Vernia, Texas; grandparents, Billy and Joyce Faust of La Vernia, Texas, Carolyn Alspaugh of Kerrville, Texas, and Tom and Patricia Broom of Mayhill, New Mexico; nieces, Brylee and Brennan White of Smithville, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Viewing will be held at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Uvalde at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Steve Peyton will officiate. Pallbearers will be David White, William Schumann, Mitchell Schumann, Kenneth Bohannan, TJ Bowden, and Karl Bowden. Honorary pallbearers will be John Leatham and Lonnie Matthews.
