Wilba Brackin Holmgreen, 83, of Uvalde died April 23, 2010, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Bradford and the Rev. Grady Roe officiating.
Interment will on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, La., with the Rev. Linda Shepherd officiating.
Holmgreen was born on April 29, 1926, in Sibley, La.
She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and Life Training Sunday school class. She was also a longtime volunteer at Hospice Thrift Shop and supporter of Uvalde Animal Shelter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wrather Holmgreen, on Oct. 1, 1997 father, O.W. Brackin on June 7, 1935 mother, Mae Anders Brackin Williamson on Sept. 23, 1980 one sister, Helen Rebecca Brackin Carroll on April 18, 1989 stepfather, Dan Williamson on Aug. 7, 1964 and one stepbrother, D.M. Williamson on April 7, 1980.
She is survived by one stepson, Dr. W. Corbett Holmgreen and wife, Mary Lou, of San Antonio three grandchildren, Alan Corbett Holmgreen and wife, Destine, Celia Louise HolmgreenPerez and husband, Anthony, and Andrew Wrather Holmgreen and wife, Kimberly four greatgrandchildren one godson, David Foster Rambie of Dallas one stepnephew, Charles Williamson of McKinney and one cousin, Mary Whitted of Georgia.
