William Smart

William A. Smart of Sabinal passed away on November 2, 2008 at the age of 61. He was born on October 30, 1947 in Sabinal, Texas to Redman and Celia Ann Smart. He married Dorothy Ann Mechler in Sabinal, Texas on May 6, 1978. He is survived by his mother; Celia Ann Smart of Sabinal, Texas; wife of 30 years Dorothy Ann Smart of Sabinal, Texas; one daughter; Melissa Smart; one son; Johnny Smart both of Sabinal, Texas; one brother; Jimmy Smart and wife, Barbara of Sabinal, Texas; four grandchildren; Micheal Smart, Madison Smart, Jacob Smart, and Hannah Smart all of Sabinal, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; Redman Austin Smart. Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Sabinal. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association co Lisa Mumme 1078 E. Hacienda Rd. Uvalde, Texas 78801. Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis Yeschke, Chris Yeschke, Bill Mechler, Jimmy Smart Jr., Clint Smart, Robert Vickers, and Jim Borders.
