Wood Sights

Wood Preston Sonny Sights, Jr. passed away at his residence on Sunday September 4, 2011 at the age of 80. He was born on August 4, 1931 in Del Rio, Texas to Wood Preston Sights Sr. and Gladys Honey Sights. He graduated from Uvalde High School and Texas A I University in Kingsville. He served the U.S. Army and spent his life ranching in Edwards County. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, June Ann stepdaughter, Jerri Lynn Kelly and husband Joe stepsons, Tony White and wife Amy, and J. Paul White, four grandchildren Jake, Taylor, Virginia and Conner, sister, Olga Coston and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel on Saturday September 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Uvalde Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 933, Uvalde, Texas 78802. Cremation under the direction of RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary.
