Xavier Rios

Xavier Jai Rios of Uvalde passed way on May 20, 2010 in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 25. He was born on October 18, 1984 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus Xavier and Cynthia Rios. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and Uvalde High School. He was an active Marine and served in Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents Xavier and Cynthia Rios of Uvalde, Texas maternal grandparents Juan and Genoveva Morales of Uvalde, Texas paternal grandmother Margarita F. Rios of Uvalde, Texas ten aunts Sulema Arredondo, Lucila Morales, Sonia Carmona, Annette Arce, Yvonne Ramirez, Junice Kirkpatrick, Dora Morales, Irma Silva, Olivia Valverde, and Soraya Cruz four uncles Daniel Morales, Robert Morales, Rev. Eduardo Morales, and Walter Scott Rios and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jesus C. Rios, two aunts Michelle Contreras and Diana Samora. A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
