Yndalecio "Lecho" Gonzales Jr. of Uvalde passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Uvalde at the age of 75. Mr. Gonzales was born on December 1, 1939 in Uvalde to Yndalecio and Oralia (Sanchez) Gonzales. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his daughter Cynthia Gonzales of San Antonio; sisters, Dora G. Gonzalez of Uvalde; Pura G. Hill of Uvalde; Jesusita G. Stephens of Bakersfield, California; Oralia G. Monroy of Rupert, Idaho; Linda Mae G. Holquin of Bakersfield, California; brothers, Arnulfo Gonzales and Roberto Gonzales both of Bakersfield, California; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Olivia Silva and Olga Gonzales, two brothers, Ervey Gonzales and Rojelio Gonzales.
Mr. Gonzales was a police officer in Crystal City and was an owner of a Security Service business, a bar and a restaurant in Uvalde.
Mr. Gonzales will have a rosary on Saturday, March 14, 2015 and Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Arnulfo Gonzales, Ricardo Hill, Oscar Navejar, Lee Cardwell, Robert Sanchez and Jose Ruedas.
