Yolanda Ortiz

Yolanda R. Ortiz of Uvalde passed away on August 20, 2016 in San Antonio at the age of 70. She was born on May 4, 1946 in San Antonio to Enrique Ramos and Josefina Lopez Ramos. She is survived by three sons, Pete Ortiz and wife, Rita; Rick Ortiz; and David Ortiz; and four daughters, Yolanda Flores and husband, Robert; Rose Mary Ortiz; Carolina Ortiz; and Brenda Esparza and husband, Joe, all of Uvalde; two brothers, Edward Ramos and Louie Ramos, both of San Antonio; three sisters, Grace Van Dyke of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Mary Ramos and Blanca Castillo, both of San Antonio; and twelve grandchildren, Matthew Ortiz, Joshua Esparza, Brandon Jimenez, Izeck Ortiz, Alivia Ortiz, Bibiana Flores, Carmen Esparza, Aaliyah Esparza, Jonathon Bocanegra, Juan Bocanegra, Stephanie Bocanegra, and Scarlett Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rene Ramos. A rosary will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
