Yolanda S. Ybarra of Sabinal, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Santa Rosa Westover Hill Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 81.
Yolanda was born on October 13, 1940 in Brackettville to Gabriel H. and Corina Alicia (Soliz) Sandoval.
She married Monseis Ybarra on January 9, 1955 in Brackettville.
Yolanda is survived by two daughters, Nora Valdez and husband Gustavo of San Antonio and Yolanda (Nana) Ybarra of Sabinal; four sons, Jesse Ybarra and wife Melba of San Antonio, Moises Ybarra Jr. of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Johnny Ray Ybarra and husband Ricardo Burgos of New Braunfels and Joe Luis Ybarra and Brandy of Sabinal; 26 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Irma Hilda (DIDA) Ybarra, son, Jose L. Ybarra; parents and brother, Raul Sandoval.
Visitation will start on Tuesday, August 16. 2022 at 1:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal. Interment to follow at Sabinal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Armando Y. Alejandro , Gustavo Y. Valdez Jr. , Stefan Y. Valdez , Ralph M. Rodriguez, Martin Martinez Jr. Ethan J. Alejandro , Moisés Ybarra III , Moses Alou Ybarra.
