Ysidro Benavides

Ysidro Benavides of Uvalde passed away on March 14, 2008 at Southwest General Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on May 5, 1933 in Hondo, Texas to Refugio and Antonia Flores Benavides. He married Ramona Gomez in Uvalde on 1959. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Ramona Benavides; two sons; Fred Benavides of Uvalde , Tx.and wife Monica Gonzales of Camp Wood, Tx., Benny Benavides and wife Norma of Uvalde, Tx.; two sister; Irma Munoz of Knox City, Tx. and Dominga Flores of Dumas, Tx.; two brothers; Refugio Benavides of Round Rock, Tx. and Ramiro Benavides of Hondo, Tx.; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Agapita Benavides; two sisters; Maria Garcia and Rosa B. Valdez. A rosary will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 P.M. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
