Zachary Musgrove

Zachary Reed Musgrove of Batesville passed away on February 16, 2021 in Batesville at the age of 25.  He was born on November 16, 1995 in Galveston, Texas.

Zachary was a graduate of the class of 2014 at Uvalde High School.  He attended Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde where he received his Associates of Art degree.  He was recently sworn into the United States Army and was soon to leave for basic training.

He is survived by his parents, Desidoro Luna, Jr. and Julio and Ofilia Hernandez; grandfather, Desidoro Luna, Sr.; fiancé, Kimberly Lynn Martinez; daughter, Camilla Jade Musgrove; son, Zachary Reed Musgrove Jr.  all of Batesville; sisters, Betsy Prado and husband, Jesus and Debra Quijano all of Uvalde; brothers, Ismael Vasquez and wife, Alveisa, Larry Luna and wife, Vanessa all of Batesville; Christian D. Luna and Diego Luna both of San Marcos; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Luna, Diego Luna, Christian Luna, Ivan Vasquez, Ismael Vasquez, Jr., Joel Ayala Christopher Rodriguez and Pete Alvarez.
