Zulema Medina

Zulema C. Medina of La Pryor passed away on October 13, 2016 in San Antonio at the age of 77. She was born on February 4, 1939 in La Pryor to Jesus Cervantez and Irene Hernandez Cervantez. She married Alejandro Medina in Laredo in 1961. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; three sons, Jose Cervantez of Willmar, Minnesota; Alejandro Medina, Jr. and wife, Martha; and Thomas Medina and wife, Rosantina; three daughters, Margot Perez and husband, Roberto; Irene Herrera and husband, Saul; and Anita Medina; sister, Rebecca Pargas; brother, Juan Cervantez and wife, Tammy, all of La Pryor, 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jesus Cervantez; and sister, Jesusita Esquivel. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow in La Pryor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alejandro Medina III, Israel J. Medina, Jose Guzman, Jose Cervantez, Ralph Cervantez, and Evelio Valiente. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Perez.
