Lewis Franke

Lewis Robert Franke, 69, of Uvalde passed away on September 22, 2022 at Amistad Nursing Center.

Franke was born on October 28, 1952, to Sidney S. and Jane L. Franke in San

Antonio Texas.

Franke was a life long resident of Uvalde, attending public schools there and graduating from Uvalde High School in 1971.

After High School he attended S.W.T.J.C. for a couple semesters than joined the Texas Army National Guard.

Franke returned to Uvalde when his National Guard training was complete and began a long working career.

The list of some of the businesses he worked at over the years includes Pizza Hut at or near its opening to K Mart, Tractor Supply, Ace Hardware, 0. V. Casey Plumbing and Medina Agriculture Products.

Franke enjoyed working and especially appreciated the friendships he developed with his coworkers and customers.

Franke is survived by two brothers, Walter and Brian Franke, all of Uvalde; one sister, Cynthia Price and Husband Curle, of Cibilo; two nieces, Samantha Price Piper, and Kathleen Lee Franke; one nephew, Curle "Trey" Price III (Meghan Price); and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Sidney S. Franke in 1999 and Jane L, Franke in 2010.
